When life becomes difficult, we sometimes act in ways that we would not even consider when in good spirits. Guilt and fear may then hinder us from confessing our sins. However hard it may be and however unpleasant the immediate effect of telling the truth may feel, ultimately, letting out is better for us and everyone around us.
Proverbs 28:13: “You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you.”
Luke 15:7: “I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.”
Revelation 3:19: “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.”
1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Luke 17:3 3: “So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.”
